Mass/Niche - Music Video

One of my FMP's is to produce a metal based music video. Music videos can be mass depending on the  genre of the music that is played during the video.

Mass music videos:

Justin Bieber: His music videos are mass because of the audience that he targets, which is mainstream teenagers. The whole music video is full of teenagers partying and drinking which teenagers enjoy to watch, as they can relate to that and it's really in fitting with the music which is a upbeat fun pop record. The budget for the music video is huge as they had to rent out a huge water park and they used a lot of lighting and a lot of actors, which ends up being very expensive.

Niche music videos: Any genre of music that
is not in the mainstream music chart would be labelled as Niche. For example, this video is doing heavy head banging in the pouring rain and playing instruments to create a tense dramatic effect to match the music. The budget for this music video would be a lot cheaper than Justin Biebers for example, and was probably shot in a single day.

  1. Re-think your Niche section apart from that this is really good.
